LOSE THE WEIGHT - NOT THE PERFORMANCE

Stelvio FreeRide
Equally at home in-bounds or out, the Stelvio FreeRide provides a perfect one ski quiver for skiers looking to mix some touring in with their lift served turns. Carbon reinforced glass wrapped around a multi-layer, variable-channel poplar and fir core keeps weight down while maintaining stellar performance and durability. The oversized tip provides excellent float, making trail breaking easier by planing above the snow surface and virtually eliminating tip dive in powder. A ski mountaineering side-cut combined with elastomer lined carbon steel edges provides a smooth and precise ride with responsive handling, inspiring confidence on steep hard pack. The high molecular density sintered base improves glide and durability while a stained ash top sheet maintains a nostalgic feel. The Stelvio FreeRide, large and rugged like the mountain it is named after.

"Carbon Fiber skis are supposed to be light and weak. Not These. The Stelvio FreeRide especially surprised skiers with it's ability to tackle crud. Made fluid, large radius turns with ease. These skis will save your energy for the downhill." - Skiing 2008
"Great for multiple laps up and down in soft snow. Held a hard edge with confidence." - Backcountry 2008
"A solid, all conditions-ski that handles varied backcountry snow ease. It has a medium radius bias, and once you find its groove, the ski pulls you into turn after turn without hesitation" Offpiste 2008
"The relatively modest dimensions ski bigger than they look on paper. This ski kept a wide variety of testers happy, carved the groom and handled soft snow with style. It offers round full ski engagement and turn versatility. It stands out in the mid 80's waist category as a solid versatile ski. Its medium radius bias and moderate side-cut create a balanced all mountain board." - Offpiste 2007
"Making it's mark in medium to long radius turns, The Stelvio pleased testers." - Backcountry 2007
"The Stelvio has great edge hold on hardpack and hugs the snow in turns. Light and natural, a great hard-snow ski for your one ski quiver. A superlight climber that'll go downhill well" - Skiing 2007.

"The lightest and ablest downhiller. The extra-fat tip is great for breaking trail and won't dive in powder" - Skiing 2006

"The Stelvio is a go anywhere ski! It has great edge hold at slow and fast speeds and short and long radius turns. The Stelvio can handle a variety of snow conditions from pow to corn. The Stelvio is a fun ski with a huge sweet spot." - Phil Segal, Tahoe Guide Service

"The Stelvios are incredible! I've been working in them conducting Avalanche Forecaster field obs for the WSDOT and I also moonlight as the Snow Safety director at Alpental Ski Area where I've been patrolling with this set up as well. I really enjoy these skis, I can't get enough of them!" - John Stimberis, Washington State Avalanche Forecastor
