Sexy!
The mid-fat touring version of the Duo Race featuring the same
carbon fiber / aramid honeycomb core construction which produces
an exceptionally lively and responsive ride for an extremely
light package. Elastomer lined 100 CR6 microcrystalline edges
produce superior edge hold while delivering a smooth ride. The
high molecular density race base improves glide and resists
rock damage. The Duo design increases the tip surface area for
better float and easier trail breaking, it also integrates with
the skin connection to facilitate easier tranisitions. A great
everyday ski built around race technology - competition ready!
WARNING!
FOR SKI PERFORMANCE REASONS, SKI TRAB'S HARDENED STEEL EDGES ARE
EXTREMELY SHARP AND ARE THEREFORE MORE DANGEROUS THAN OTHER SKIS.
THEY CAN CAUSE SEVERE AND SERIOUS LACERATIONS AND CAN SLICE TENDONS
OR WORSE. ALWAYS HANDLE SKIS CAREFULLY. AVOID GRIPPING THE EDGES
FIRMLY AT ANY TIME, INCLUDING WHILE APPLYING OR REMOVING SKINS.
NEVER RUN HANDS, GLOVES, OR ANY BODY PARTS ALONG EDGES. WHEN CARRYING
SKIS, STRAP SKIS TOGETHER BASE TO BASE.
"If you're reading
this portion of the review just in hopes of finding a true
tele/AT mountaineering ski, then here's your answer. Ski Trab
makes super-sweet boards for the backcountry, and the Duo Sint
Aero absolutely fits the bill. Lightweight (lightest in the whole
test) with a forgiving tip and shovel float that transcends
most off-piste obstacles, as well as the kind of stability you
usually find in much stiffer skis, the Sint Aero is the kind
of outback performer that inspired most of us to first head for
the wild snow and ungroomed hills. The soft flexing forebody
of the Sint Aero provides a wild snow forgiveness that lets deft
footed skiers keep turning through the crud, pow and shale. A
cool new option for OB turners, the Sint Aero brings real snow
cred to the off-piste array this year." - Couloir
"Needs
very little input to turn smoothly. A very turny ski with good
edge. Holds on harder snow" said one tester. Another found
it better at higher revs: "The tip is odd, but it didn't
negatively affect performance. Assuming this ski was made to excel
going up, I expected it to be a rodeo ride on the return trip.
I was wrong. It held on blue ice, it knifed through soft snow
in the trees and, with its narrow profile, is a sufficient bump
ski. Despite its light weight, it holds at speed." -

no object then you can save a further 300g with a pair of Duo
Sint Aeros - ultralight air channel core. We work - and race
- on these & worship them!" - Alpine-Guides.com
